Neil Ross broke into voice-overs in the early 1980s in Los Angeles.
Neil provided the voice of the character Honest John in the Steven Spielberg produced animated feature An American Tail.
Neil voiced numerous characters in many classic animated television shows:
In G.I. Joe, Neil was Shipwreck, Buzzer, Monkeywrench, Dusty and Thunder.
In Transformers, he was Springer, Hook, Slag and Bonecrusher.
In Voltron: Defender of the Universe , he was Keith and Pidge.
In Spider-Man, he was Norman Osborne and the Green Goblin.
In The Fantastic Four, he was Dr. Doom and the Puppetmaster.
He was Ace McCloud in Centurions and played the title character in the animated Rambo.
His most recent television animation work includes the role of Constable Hu in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and various characters in Garfield.
Neil has also voiced numerous video games including: Metal Gear Solid, Command & Conquer, Call of Duty and Doom 3. He was the Codex Narrator in Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3.
His voice work has also been featured in many live action motion pictures including Back To The Future II, as the voice of the Biff Tannen Museum, Being John Malkovich as the Malkovich documentary announcer. He was heard and briefly seen in Dick Tracy as the Green Newsman.
Some of Neil’s other career highlights include narrating 22 episodes of the PBS science series NOVA. He was the announcer for the Academy Awards in 2003 and the Prime Time Emmy Awards in 2004. For the past 5 years he’s been the announcer on the AFI Life Achievement Award telecasts.
